100% French linen yarn, crafted in Italy
Most linen shirting in the market sits between 40 and 60 lea. This one is spun at 70 lea, which means a finer, longer, more tightly twisted yarn drawn from French flax. What you get in return is a cloth that breathes, it absorbs moisture, and it stays cool even when the weave is dense. The woven selvedge carries the mill's own signature, which is the simplest way to tell a genuine Italian-woven linen from a printed-label imitation.
On cost: a 70 lea French linen shirt will still be in your rotation ten years from now. Linen fibre gains softness with every wash instead of thinning out, it does not pill, and the colour is yarn-dyed rather than surface-printed, so the stripe never fades unevenly.
